For years I’ve flipped through the pages of Essence Magazine and got my entire life! As a young woman of color, Essence has always been my go to for health, beauty, fashion, money and relationship advice. The bold, colorful presentation, down to earth tone and the way the writers specifically target my needs, in a world that would love to leave me out, is super cool! This month when I flipped through the pages and saw my face, my photo, my name in black in white in my fave publication was such a great feeling!!!!!
